El Caballo Criollo is directly descended from horses brought to the New World by Spanish conquistadors in the sixteenth century. Many of these horses escaped or were abandoned, and quickly returned to its original state in a perfect environment for its development: the Pampa. For example, in recent years, Chilean players Corraleros more robust and heavier than the Creoles of this is imported by breeders in southern Brazil and Uruguay. Fans traditionalists in Argentina and Uruguay are rather reluctant to model the evolution of the race official.
