In Defense of Pure Puerto Rican Paso Fino ...

Posted in Paso Fino by Romualdo

It's interesting how we get used to a certain language to the point of view as normal ... but when someone afueraâ € â € OEDE looks at us, then realize that our words and attitudes are not always the most appropriate s ... this was what we happened on a meeting that had recently with the Secretary of Agriculture, where à © ste we asked the out how a © of our Custom Language â € œluchaâ €, always talking about â € œdefensaâ €, when that which meant he was fighting , ± ay EIR contest ...

I confess that at the meeting No cause us ³ a few laughs the comment and had to give The reason n ... but then, reflecting on this issue, I've noticed that you only have to defend our race, defending it with nail ± as and teeth, defend it like a cat on your back ... but what is sad and unfortunate that the enemy we face ... that that stalks our future and undermines our efforts ... we ourselves ...

TÃ º, I read this s ... Â Have you ever thought about this? ... Â the greatest enemy facing the Purism is the same â € € œpuristasâ!

This article is not intended to download responsibilities and take another fight (you see, always fighting) against some ... but my intention is to appeal to your conscience and speak to the heart of all who truly love the horse Paso Fino Pure Puertorriqueà ± o ...

PASO FINO OFFICE AND CENTRAL REGISTRY

When we talk to our friends purists note that there is some general discomfort with the work of the Office of Paso Fino in Agriculture ... and then comes a shower of cratic against the Office, against Magdalys, against the Secretary ... but no one offers solutions to the assumptions problems is ± alan ...

I ask ...  Are any of you know the â € œsudor and sangreâ € to coast ³ adopt the Law who created this office? ... That was a real battle ... but the entities and purists were united, and their efforts paid off ... then  why we EMPEA Quà © ± masters now destroy what is achieved with so much ³?

Maybe the Office is not the entity most s efficient ... but many of the cases they take to be resolved are not the fault of the Office, but The owners ± os of individuals that do not submit the documentation complete ... if we lack a firm, or not get the photos, or forget to include the check, not the fault of the Office ... if a copy does not meet your DNA or not up to filiacià ³ n with his supposed parents, not the fault of the Office ...

We must learn to work with agriculture, not against it ... it is important to remember that by law, the Central Registry is the only one record will lido ... it is easy to be ± wing failures of Agriculture ... but, what about our own faults? ... entities have maintained records alternative and, in part, lead to the cratic from Agriculture to register the copies with them ... when in reality it out, which must is to put its resources and efforts to disposal n the Office of Step Fine ... I imagine that the entities to maintain records, seek to retain a form of income ... but sometimes I have to wonder if another Intention behind s of this ... if there really is a commitment to keep the race â € œpuraâ €, or are trying to benefit some Ndole decade accommodate specimens of doubtful or not be corroborated ...

© n Also remember that that Act requires that in order to participate in a competition the copy must be enrolled in Agriculture ... I wonder,  is it being done? ... Entities know that this is what the law calls ... then  deberÃan entities are not be responsible for putting it into practice?

I do not want with this throw mud entities ... but we must raise awareness that race is the responsibility of all individuals and entities alike ... and the Office of Paso Fino is the à º nica tool we have to preserve our race ... so I have to ensure that this continues and was serving Office © ndonos ... but this does not get dirty your name or criticizing his work ... but ponia © ndonos at your disposal so that together we can improve and help solve problems you may have ...

TAS FRIEND purist who read me ... A Do qua © is s doing Ringtones in your face character staff, by race Paso Fino Pure Puertorriqueà ± or? ...  Do you support the skills, not â € œtu entidadâ €, but all the powers of Paso Fino Pure Puertorriqueà ± or? ... A Do you build with your words or you do criticize all you see? ... A Do empadronas your Yega ¼ ita pure horse pure, or throw him a Colombian because he was s more closely, it was cheaper or more s the CRAA think will sell better? ... A Do you sign your copies in the Central Registry?

The entities are as good and efficient as the people who run ... as purist Ringtones have the responsibility to choose the best resources to guide your body ... and ensure that these work for the good of the race ... I ask you, Â do you wrap in the activities of your organization? ... Â do you engage your assemblies? ... Â Do you think on the big issues?

And Tas, PRESIDENT OR MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COMPANY ... Â l Wha is your priority, race or your organization? ... Â you looking for unity among all the purists or you are interested in more s the role of your organization? ... Â are you being conciliatory or stumbling block?

It is sad to see how the struggles and misunderstandings between the load you are more s great that you have to load your horse ... year after year ± o ± o, meeting after meeting, what prevails is â € or â € entidadâ œmi € interesesâ œmis € before the Paso Fino Horse ...

Not only © to you, but most I find fascinating read propa ³ requirements set forth in its regulations ... words to promote, improve, encourage, promote, maintain ... Â and all refer to the race! ... Yet apply when many of you think first of the spotlight ... when deberÃan seek unity, consensus, and welcome the good initiatives come from whom they come ...

Do not get me wrong ... I am not referring to you in especÃfico, but this has been the Patron ³ n for which governed the majority of the boards that have entities purists ... but the interesting thing is that today, at this point history, it is you who decide whether to follow this model or build one that truly works for the betterment of the breed ...

I would, if I may, let an idea in which to think ... since your organization was formed ³ have been many presidents and many boards ... A How to Cua many of these do Ringtones remember how people who really did something for the race?  ... you know what? ...  these are the true heroes of our hà © sport! ... and it is those we should emulate ... looking to be on that list, so that when you are gone, those who come behind s you can tell how much you did, not only because of your body, but by the Paso Fino Horse Pure Puertorriqueà ± o ...

Well, there are three points that show:

    (1) The Pure and the Colombians are two distinct races, is not that one is better than another, but are different ... the Colombian market is more large s, s there are more people involved and animals sold at most s high ... so more s people fill the eyes with this breed and many new arrivals to the horses just decided © ndose for them instead of the Pure ... one of the propa ³ requirements of this blog is guide and help increase awareness of the Paso Fino horse Puertorriqueà Pure ± o ...

The cost of a pure horse is not high if compared with the Colombians ... even, I have seen horses walk vendia © ndose almost the price of a pure horse! ... The problem is that some want to buy a Consent or Giralda price dime and that is out of Proportion n ... Fájate, there are many alternatives to good price for a person who comes new to the sport ... but if that person wants to go and have the best horse or mare Pure, obviously it will cost money ...

On the cost of placing a copy in Agriculture is $ 55 ... this includes DNA and filiacià ³ n ... there are people who choose not to register the copy so far they're going to compete ... think that if it does not good, is saving money register ... but these people do not realize that as more time passes s, s difÃcil more to solve the problems that may arise when enrolling ...

    (2) I will Daraa by the 25, but I have to ask permission to Jesus s Andrà © s! And the screaming, I sa © if you're going to cry more s Pepe, but more s you better yell!

    (3) The Law of Agribusiness is clear, but there are many desinformacià ³ n ... all copy to be encasta must be registered in the Central Registry (Agriculture) with DNA and filiacià ³ n genetic © policy ... this means that along with the information you may require the application must give a DNA sample and compare the sample of parents (filiacià ³ n) to certify that truly is the son of the specimens that follows ...

One which does not give the filiacià ³ n (1) may be pure but, by mistake or otherwise, not being the child of a parent ... in these cases, try to figure out the various options and whether these potential parents have their DNA registered, you can make a new filiacià ³ n and register ... (2) may not be pure, ie have foreign blood in Genealogy ... these specimens can not be enrolled in Agriculture for the Central Registry is only for copies Pure ...

Anyone going to buy a copy must ensure that it is registered with Agriculture ... remember that this is the only one registration is valid and is supported by the Law of the Agribusiness ... unfortunately, many buy without finding out first and then come the surprises of the specimen can not register ...

    Hello;

This is precisely what we have tried several times on this forum and not to mention in our conservatories during competitions and visits .... Horse that is not registered by law can not be enrolled in an entity as Paso Fino horse, much less let them compete and then proclaim it as such! This is clear is pray violacià ± ³ n of law ... which is punishable by fine and / or seclusion n penalty of three months ....

Here the point is that we ourselves are honest with ourselves and with our race and follow the due process of law to ensure compliance with this letter we have left to die ... and it's like letting die quisià © bouquets our treasure so precious! Our Race Horse Paso Fino.

One horse who is not enrolled in agriculture is as if there ... That is why we should not buy or promote € |. Those animals that are not enrolled in Agriculture © n ... since doing so we are encouraging mediocrity, lack of commitment and we break our allegiance to our values and Most of all our race ...

If we do not encourage or sponsor those horses that is not © n in Agriculture Duea ± os then those that do not have registered will be forced to enroll n order to sell their animals or compete. Is ± pray that begins at home, I understand that institutions are the largest source of Sport ... Well, start getting more stringent as it s not shake their knees at the time of competition. Why else are their own members who must generate a lawsuit against those powers that violate the law!

For example if the representative of Agriculture is in a competition and know that this or that horse is not registered or have problems that disqualify it as pure Paso Fino horse, so why not stop at three and stops the event and fine both the entity or corporation n that manages competencies, like all who conspire to evade the law, and its editor, in Duea ± or, to sÃndicos, the table of enrollment n, the entertainer or speaker who hails that this or that animal is fine pitch, .... all who conspire for the animal unfit to compete as Paso Fino horse let him compete € | Putting order and respect is that we can only enforce the leya € |

On the other hand, the law is not perfect and we have to promote projects for amendment so as to not allow any event to display in court precedents and case law established against the very principle of law ... For example, the law not specify what is the process to prosecute those who commit crime or law violacià ³ n .. What are the mechanisms, etc .... We know there to help this office Not only will it function and operate as we want, if not because also © n has the tools to enforce the same law! ... On the other hand also © n we must make clear that there were problems and they created the leya € | because this other factor into consideration,,,,, there are many animals out and quedarÃan likely to significantly reduce our race or our Horses Paso Fino sega º n outlined by law, that a lot of errors before the law are now paying day!, and we recognize that we have no mechanisms for working with these cases that if merit be evaluated by their origin or that à º is probably the last of a line there! Well, this is called the law of preservation programs n that is not clearly defined and as we are doing with Utuao if Utuao! and Texasâ € |

There is a document, or decree or mandate issued by a court in Puerto Rico where it is created the Board should assist the Office of Paso Fino, this is another factor that should propel and already there is a mandate by a court to Agriculture to the Office operated with the help of Juntaâ € | The office does not work alone, without us the riders will never be an office that can help us, because if you do not know our problems, situations and needs and can help and assist the race!

Year No No when I accept that the problem is us, for more No multiple factors, it is very true, but it was created by law, that tenÃamos a riot and I think to try to regulate us, what happened is that they served the dish and the meat but no one will eat it! Because there is not, nor was there who remember us or remind us that there is a law we must obey € | Where is the police! If the police are not you eat light, and you exceed the 55 MPH and now not enough to 55MPH also © n overdo the 65mph, 70mph and if you put it we exceed the 80mph if the guard does not stop us! The same goes for horses, if not begin to enforce the law, this will continue and never mejoraraâ € | FÃjense that since I believe the law, I have not found any public event seen in court about it, to create law, and begin to refine the law,,,, as the law remained in the bottle, I fail to use the cloth ± al, because that has not been refined by the fact that no case has not been enforced by the autoridadesâ € | The authorities just hope our good faith makes us worthy of their fulfillment! And if agriculture is going to a competition and there well then we also  © nâ € |. Now if you start the process of facing position and then reprimand .. We get to our number and this mejoraraâ € | But I do not improve with good faith! To fine two or three agencies for not complying with the law to see that this mejoraâ € | Agriculture only has to carry two inspectors each office Cantaso entities .. as does the FBIA € | and audit Simultaneous € neamenteâ | to see how many horses are Paso Fino proclaimed as not in Agriculturaâ € | No fines will be raining! And I assure you stop registering entities until Agriculture certifies animals! Then we pass the ball ³ n is given to Agriculture and the dam! Without the Board may not be remedied by agriculture and Sport will fall until it lifts correctly! I imagine it's like breaking the drogra, the cigarette or drink, it hurts but you need to break this habit!

I invite you to my topic because there Paso Fino found National laws and our rules!

Caney n ... the passion with which Michael defends our horse is that every purist Provision must have ... Ã © l learns that when you grow up you become president of one of the entities ;-) ...

But seriously ... the three main entities that best carries their records is the Island ... the Federation and National have been some records to the Office of Paso Fino that do not comply with the rules Agriculture requires ... on penalties, as the truth is that the law is not being implemented with all his weight ...

Speaking of something else ... A Do Quà ©'ve thought about the daughter of Labriego you saw in San Germà n? ... I think that horse for you: have a lot of race, is big and beautiful, Adema s, mounts and you for encastar ... who knows, maybe it gives you a CRAA s worth more than $ 25!

Thank you ... The filly Caney is better, do not believe it's anything serious, but the symptoms are not clear so I n the're trying for the worst, but it's more like a caution s n ...

The website of Jo-Ann is a great tool, as Ringtones say, and I often use to verify pedigrees, etc ... but remember that she has in her database copies for Agriculture and entities ... In addition s, or Agriculture or institutions will report to her of changes and updates that do (Jo-Ann has a more © rite enormous, as she has done this for sa itself, without help or support from anyone!) ...

By purchasing a copy, ideally, is © registered in agriculture and that you verify with them ... for example, the daughter of the farmer who saw in San Germà This location is registered in Agriculture, has your DNA and filiacià ³ n genetic © tica ... this is a breeder who has dealt with all the copies for filing in the Central Registry ... unfortunately not all breeders are like à © l ...

It is important to understand that when you buy a copy that is not enrolled in Agriculture will run the risk of failing to enroll and lose your inversià ³ n ... clarify, there are many that you only can register, but we must consider each case individually to minimize risks before buying an unregistered copy ...

Puerto Rico has much to lose and lost muchÃsimo material or stock genetic © tico product of crosses poorly planned, the crossing of mares fine Paso Fino horses foreigners and the lack of a classification n qualitative race based on this ndares uniform establish, even mÃnimos requirements for a specimen can be considered as a potential stallion or mare recria.

The genes do not accumulate, are replaced. In the same way as we see examples of lower quality or with quality animal movements but without a proper conformacià ³ n is © tica and functionally to execute a powerful fine-pitch movement, rÃtmico, flexible, consistent, gulf © tric, etc.. This observation n is not nothing but a Page © loss frequency of the desired genes. This is the way the deterioration of the race, which was the main reason for the Act 169. This has been discussed in more than one occasion s n ± the company was Magdalis Gonzalez. We are not aware of a plan that promotes excellence cientÃifico within the breed. DNA testing, even though they are valuable evidence of origin and provenance, does not change the frequency of desirable genes or undesirable in the race. What changes is the proper frequency selection.

Certainly, the Office for Reglamentacià agroindustra ³ n of the Paso Fino horse was and is a great achievement. The owners think horses ± os fine Paso Fino expect a little more s Office and I also © n that Ms. Gonzalez wants to respond to that claim. Magdalis auta © nctica a defender of the race. So I hope that we summon the promoters of Paso Fino breeders of Pure Excellence, Inc. to share the vision of this No prospective group was created to castar cientÃficamente and improvement with genetic © tico. As some know the entity headed by Mr. Gory Ballester.

Please anyone let their guard down. We are defenders of the Paso Fino horse as a national heritage of Puerto Rico. We do not question us courage as we are on the defensive. The data show that race is in danger of desapaerecer. So I will this attitude outlet. Forward.

I think a good introspection conclusià ³ n and n correct to recognize that it is our responsibility and our duty to maintain a militant stance in defense of the Paso Fino horse breed. Not only should not feel "guilty" or accept the idea that we are "problematic ticos" because "fight and defend the race" but proud of this attitude. A couple of year ± os the Organization of the United Nations Agicultura FOOD AND ³ n (FAO) approved ³ a statement currently and a Global Plan for the conservation n of breeds dressage © sticas at the increasing rate of extinction of these resources zoogà © netic . Therefore, the defense of the Paso Fino horse breed as equity auta ³ ctono of Puerto Rico has been one n show will count among our people worship segment, sensitive and visionary.

With respect to actions taken on behalf of the Conservation and improvement of the race if there have been more º multiple and diverse activities. One of them, but that is not the à º nica is what we have been doing since the year 1994 ± o to here, the company ± ero Gory Ballester and the undersigned of this note. In that year ± or produced a document entitled "Excellence is ndares Paso Fino Horse à ‰ lite". This document is given to every president ³ of entities purists on that date. Also © n ³ is given to many people. They offered workshops and seminars on the subject.

The whole process culminated in that a couple of year ± os was created a movement of farmers under the name Paso Fino of Excellence Pure to continue in a process Training needs no breeders of Paso Fino cigars. Paradigm shifts are slow more th n s year when resources are limited.

So, if it is true that much remains to be done or even, maybe s efforts were not the best, the fact is many people in and outside entities purists have their bit to maintain and enhance positive Paso Fino horse auctà heritage ³ pure as ctono of Puerto Rico. An excellent example is this blog and blog Arsdelicata.

A Do Quà © goes we do not see the desired results in CRAAS? N cientÃfica lack information and objective. A serious problem is that "Genealà ³ cal records" do not have sufficient relevant data to conduct a selection adequate. I do not mean that the information contained may not be correct about the parents. I mean ± sized data or proportions, often in the footprint, and so on. that is, you have to do with fitness, capacity and skill of Paso Fino horse to be a true example of excellence, is not available n. Nor are excluded animals with defects registry © congenital hereditary finite type. But maybe s, the worst thing is that castamos using criteria are not scientists.

Despite all this, I see Joy and hope many more examples that show s desire, speed, power, Energy, BRAO, etc.. in competitions. This indicates that if we have good people doing the "Allocating". Take this opportunity to express to all of them, my felicitacià ³ n, n admiration and gratitude.

The challenge we have as breeders is to combine power and finesse without sacrificing rÃtmico order of "fine pitch". The "delicacy" in the world of sport Physical Fitness is not a virtue but a weakness. In the field of sports phasic: the raw material of excellence is strength. That is, the athlete's ability to change or prevent the change of place or form.

The word "delicacy" looks nice for his sense poa © tico but lends itself to many interpretations and even allows tolerance for mediocrity or worse year º n, as ± allergic ³ Gory Ballester in the paper's official Department of Agriculture to support the creation n the Office of the Reglamentacià ³ n, "to glorify mediocrity."

One is the keyword to improve the breed in the XXI century: SELECTION "N. If you select more and more rigor and consistency s under this criterion our race horses emerge in the XXI century as the first and best à º nica but the Paso Fino breed in the world.

Mr. Quijano Makes another very good point when to have comments on the Necessity of Knowing about the undesirable and defective horses produced by the crosses, and not just the wonderful results. The Pure Puerto Rican Paso Fino Population is inbred, it suffers from inbreeding depression in Itself Evidence That may Such things as poor quality offspring, spontaneous Abortions, a female's Difficulty in getting pregnant, low disease resistance, infertility, etc.. Breeders need all of the information That THEY CAN make wise decisions to get for the future of the Paso Fino.
